February 2020 - Clean non-marking shoes: Court 4
Sorry, me again!,
I have to remind everyone to please have clean indoor non-marking shoes. Unfortunately there are black marks on court 4 which hopefully will wear off. Nevertheless we need to make sure we're looking after the courts.
Thanks
Jay
February 2020 - Blood on court 3 floor
Hi everyone,
This is something I didn’t think I’d have to mention. A few weeks ago some had obviously cut themselves on court 3 as there was blood all over the court. This week it’s happened again. Please if you have an injury like that could you not carry on playing because once the blood has dried it’s really difficult to get off the court. If it’s mopped straight away there’s a chance of getting it out.
Thanks
Jay
February 2020 - HB Clark and Ossett Brewery Price increase
Hi Everyone,
I’m just making everyone aware that HB Clark and Ossett brewery have made a price increase to most of their drinks, this will have a minimal knock on effect on our prices but most will have to be increased.

January 2020 - Court 1 door
Hi Everyone,
Please be careful when opening and closing the court 1 door. Lift the door when opening and ideally ask someone to lift and close it from the outside when you’re on court to stop the glass from catching at the bottom. I’ve had the door off today and it looks like it isn’t secure at the bottom and needs a part for the top hinge which hopefully will be fixed tomorrow if we can get the right part.

Jay
January 2020 - Hot Showers
Hi Everyone,
Please be careful when using the showers as there is an issue with them, They are running very hot water at times which don’t cool down with the control. We are having them looked at this week and I will let you know when the issue is sorted.
Regards
Jay
January 2020 - Non-marking shoes and outdoor shoes
Hi Everyone,
I know this maybe obvious to most of you but I just had to remind you all that only non-marking shoes should be worn on court. Over the Christmas period the courts have been particularly dirty with mud left on them. Please if you are bringing friends or family down to introduce them to playing can you make them aware of this as it’s potentially dangerous.
Thanks,
Jay
December 2019 - Updates
Hi Everyone,
Just a bit of info keeping you up to date.
On the 12th December court 2 will be out of action for four days while the wall is repaired and plastered.
Work on the snug will start in the new year, this will be a room off the bar area creating more space on busy nights or somewhere members can get away to a quieter area.
Painting will start next week in the entrance and a new carpet will be fitted in the new year with the fixture and notice board going up in there.
The opening times for Christmas are now up in the bar area.
Rob Fraser has taken on the job of developing a new website which will be up and running in the new year.
The electrics behind the bar are now finished so the rest of the painting behind there can be if finished off and tided up.
CCTV is now up and running with extra cameras being installed once the snug is finished.
Euros are being used in the light machines, these are creating error messages and it’s stopping the lights working so please refrain from using euros.
We have the glass doors ready to be fitted in the ladies changing room (Thank you to Jonathan Taylor for supplying these) and also pumps for the gents showers (donated by Nick Thompson) to give them some more power. These will be both fitted once Dean is back up and running.
The door bell is now working and situated where the old intercom was.
Thanks Jay
